Bury Your Eyes

Poem a Day Challenge - Day 4
PAD Prompt: Departure poem.

I will be phone-calls,
A thousand miles of air,
Between family.

I am greedy for you,
Innocent complaints,
Fragile smiles.

Pack bombs of ghee,
Their sugar shrapnel,
Will be reveries.

Leave me to my work,
I need to unweave,
A mother's love.

Bury your eyes,
In Dad's silk napkin,
Your tears are so random.
